A high school athletic department bought 40 soccer uniforms at cost of $3000 after soccer season, they returned to some of the uniforms but only received $49 per uniform.what is the difference between what they paid for the uniforms and what they got for return?

If they only got back $49 per uniform, then they only got back $1,960 out of the $3,000 that was promised.
