Mrs. Raymond gave each of her students 1/12 of a box of crackers. She has 30 students in her class. How many boxes of crackers will she need?

She will need 2 1/2 boxes of crackers.
Work:
1/12 times 30/1 is 30/12 which simplifies to 2 1/2.
