The difference between them is 2, so let the unknown numbers be x and (x+2).

Their sum is 52, so:
52 = x + (x+2)
52 = x + x + 2
50 = x + x
50 = 2x
25 = x

So your unknown numbers x and (x+2) are 25 and 27.
