Write the following as an algebraic expression. Then simplify.

x+(x+1)=y. The first integer would be x, and the second would be one more than x, so x+1. I'm not sure if there's a specific number they are supposed to total, so I just set it equal to y. If there is a specific number, just replace y with that number. Hope this helps!
