The sim of twice a number and 6 is the same as 3 subtracted from the number itself( you don’t need to simplify)

Answer:  2x+6 = x-3

Work Shown:

x = some unknown number

2x = twice a number

2x+6 = sum of twice a number and 6

x-3 = three subtracted from the number

Equate 2x+6 and x-3 to form the equation 2x+6 = x-3
