Given:

[tex] \frac{64}{81}=d^2 [/tex]

All of the items are perfect squares, so we can take the square root of both sides easily:

[tex]\sqrt{\frac{64}{81}}=\sqrt{d^2}[/tex]

Simplify.

[tex] \frac{8}{9}=d[/tex]

OR

[tex] -\frac{8}{9}=d[/tex]
