The slope-point formula:

[tex]y-y_1=m(x-x_1)\\\\m=\dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}[/tex]

We have:

[tex](1,\ 0.6)\to x_1=1,\ y_1=0.6\\(-1,\ -1)\to x_2=-1,\ y_2=-1[/tex]

Substitute:

[tex]m=\dfrac{-1-0.6}{-1-1}=\dfrac{-1.6}{-2}=0.8\\\\y-0.6=0.8(x-1)\\\\y-0.6=0.8x-0.8\ \ \ |+0.6\\\\y=0.8x-0.2[/tex]

Answer: y = 0.8x - 0.2
