What is the area of a rectangle with the side length of 2 inches and 3/4 inch

you have to multiply 2 by 3/4 once you do that you should end up with 1 1/2

area=length × with
?=2×3/4
3/2=2×3/4
=1 1/2×3/4

answer= 1 1/2
as a decimal, 3÷2=0.5
